Rubber expansion joints are flexible units manufactured from natural or synthetic elastomers or fluoroplastics, with optional bellow reinforcement in steel, nylon, or aramid. They absorb movement, vibration, and noise in pipe systems, extending the service life of the pipework and connected equipment, and can accommodate line misalignment with almost no space requirement.
